# How to change a student's section

There are two methods to change a student's section, depending on your needs:

**Method 1: Change section from the student card**

This is the simplest and fastest method to change the section of **a single student**.

1. **Access the student card:**

• Go to the **Students → Student List** menu.

• Search for the student in question and open their card.

2. **Modify the section:**

• In the student card submenu, click on **Sections**.

• You will find the list of sections to which the student is currently assigned.

• Select the current section, change it to the new section, and save.

**Method 2: Change section from the Sections menu**

This method is recommended when you need to move **multiple students at the same time** between sections.

1. **Access the sections menu:**

• Go to **Sections → Sections List**.

2. **Remove the student from the old section:**

• Select the section where the student is currently present.

• Modify the section by removing the student from the list and save.

3. **Add the student to the new section:**

• Go to the new section where you want to place the student.

• Modify the section by adding the student to the list and save.

**Useful tips**

• **Method 1**: Use this method for occasional or single moves.

• **Method 2**: Ideal for reorganizing sections when you need to move multiple students in one operation.

Both methods ensure the correct updating of the data related to the students' sections.
